چکیده

Background A typical CMR exam includes cine, tagging, first-pass, and delayed-hyper-enhancement (DHE) imaging. The DHE image is usually acquired at a single timeframe. Nevertheless, obtaining cine DHE images would provide both viability and functional information in single set of images without misregistration problems for better image interpretation. However, repeated breath-hold scans are required to obtain cine DHE images, which increases scan-time with varying level of tissue enhancement with time. In this work, we propose a new technique for generating cine DHE images based on the acquired DHE image and motion field derived from the corresponding tagged images.

Detection of left ventricular thrombus by delayed-enhancement cardiovascular magnetic resonance prevalence and markers in patients with systolic dysfunction.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to assess the prevalence and markers of left ventricular (LV) thrombus among patients with systolic dysfunction. BACKGROUND Prior studies have yielded discordant findings regarding prevalence and markers of LV thrombus. Delayed-enhancement cardiovascular magnetic resonance (DE-CMR) identifies thrombus on the basis of tissue characteristics rather than just anatomi...

Dynamic 3-dimensional stress cardiac magnetic resonance perfusion imaging: detection of coronary artery disease and volumetry of myocardial hypoenhancement before and after coronary stenting.

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to establish a new, dynamic 3-dimensional cardiac magnetic resonance (3D-CMR) perfusion scan technique exploiting data correlation in k-space and time with sensitivity-encoding and to determine its value for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD) and volumetry of myocardial hypoenhancement (VOLUME(hypo)) before and after percutaneous coronary stentin...

Diagnostic performance of treadmill exercise cardiac magnetic resonance: the prospective, multicenter EXACT trial

Methods Patients clinically referred for treadmill stress SPECT for the evaluation of known or suspected CAD were prospectively enrolled across 4 centers. After rest Tc99m SPECT imaging, patients underwent resting cine CMR. In-room stress was then performed using an MR-compatible treadmill with continuous 12-lead ECG monitoring and the Bruce exercise protocol. At peak stress, Tc99m was injected...

Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomographic Imaging adolinium Delayed Enhancement ardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Correlates ith Clinical Measures of Myocardial Infarction

OBJECTIVES The current study tested the hypothesis that gadolinium delayed enhancement assessment of infarct size correlates with clinical indices of myocardial infarction (MI) in humans. Acute infarct mass by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) was compared with peak troponin I, acute and chronic left ventricular (LV) systolic function, and chronic infarct mass in patients imaged after recent acu...

Safety of adenosine stress perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in patients with aortic stenosis

Methods Consecutive patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and native aortic valve stenosis (aortic valve area [AVA] <2 cm by planimetry), undergoing adenosine perfusion CMR were eligible for enrollment. CMR imaging included cine, first-pass perfusion at stress and rest, and delayed-enhancement imaging. CMR images were interpreted for CAD using an algorithm previously de...
